CCPC approves Select Tech Group’s acquisition of DID Electrical

The deal brings two leading Guaranteed Irish businesses together, with group revenue of over €250 million.

Select Tech Group has completed the acquisition of DID Electrical after the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) cleared the transaction. The agreement combines two leading Guaranteed Irish businesses creating a group producing annual revenue of over €250 million. The business is headquartered and operated in Dublin.
 
The addition of DID Electrical to Select Tech Group expands the range of products both in-store and online for Irish tech consumers. Additionally, it expands the product range for the enterprise and education market sectors that Select is well established in, further supporting Irish businesses and educational institutions.

DID Electrical has a strong brand history, built over 55 years, delivering a wide range of electrical appliances for the domestic and business markets at the most competitive prices, in a focused customer friendly manner.
 
A recap of key highlights from the deal include:
 
-        Select Tech Group’s annual combined revenue increases to over €250 million with the addition of DID Electrical.
-        Select Tech Group has increased its portfolio to 29 stores across Ireland, and 51 stores in total across Ireland and the UK.
-        DID Electrical stores will remain under the DID Electrical brand.
-        Select Tech Group’s premium customer experience will be integrated into DID Electrical stores while keeping the excellent service and the same competitive pricing, to give an unmatched customer experience in-store.
-        Select Tech Group plans to enhance the DID Electrical store offering across Ireland.  
-        Select Tech Group will integrate the DID Electrical teams, growing the business to more than 650 people across the group.
